As a Camp Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day to day activities of our Farm and Forest Summer Camp. The Camp Manager will create a positive experience for campers and staff and work closely with the Program Manager to ensure a positive experience for everyone. Our ideal candidate is someone with experience working in a summer camp or outdoor educational setting, familiar with agricultural and environmental education and is excited to work with youth ages 5-18. The Camp Manager will be responsible for implementing our Leader-in-Training program and foster a love for nature and learning.

CAMP TEACHERS
SEASONAL | PART TIME AND FULL TIME OPTIONS

As a Camp Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging, hands-on experiences for youth ages 5–12, focusing on agriculture, animal science, natural and physical sciences, art, cooking, gardening, and team building. This is an exciting opportunity to teach in an outdoor environment, mentor Camp Counselors and Leaders-in-Training, and foster a love for nature and learning.

CAMP COUNSELORS
SEASONAL | FULL TIME

This position is perfect for motivated teens (16+) who love the outdoors, enjoy working with children, and want to develop leadership skills like communication, teamwork, and confidence. Camp Counselors support Camp Teachers, mentor Leaders-in-Training (LITs), and ensure a fun, safe, and engaging camp experience for all.
Priority given to those available for all 8 weeks of camp.

We are seeking interns interested in earning credit or experience while working with and learning from our variety of programs. You’ll work primarily within a specific area of the farm based on your interests and needs. You’ll be mentored by staff members, a variety of texts and resources, and through independent reflection. Upon successfully completing the internship, you may potentially apply for paid seasonal staff positions as they arise.

Board of Directors
The Joppa Hill Educational Farm (JHEF), a nonprofit 501(c)(3), is seeking dedicated community members to join our Board of Directors. This is a volunteer leadership role that plays a vital part in advancing our mission of preserving farmland, promoting agricultural education, and fostering community connections.
