Treasurer: Board of Directors
The Joppa Hill Educational Farm (JHEF), a nonprofit 501(c)(3), is seeking a dedicated Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. This is a volunteer leadership role that plays a vital part in advancing our mission of preserving farmland, promoting agricultural education, and fostering community connections.
Ideal candidates will bring:

Experience in finance, bookkeeping, accounting, or as a CFO/financial leader

A passion for nonprofit work, agriculture, and education

Strong organizational and communication skills

Commitment to collaboration and community building
Responsibilities include:

Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting

Supporting bookkeeping and financial compliance

Advising the Board on fiscal strategy and sustainability

Ensuring transparency and accountability in financial practices
- Estimated 10-15 hours of volunteer time per month depending on season
